However the voyages of Christopher Columbus were somewhat after the time to which the VM has been dated (and the Viking exploration of Vinland too long before.)

A renowned botanist at the Catholic University of America. In 1944 he identified various plants depicted in the Voynich Manuscript as New-World species. However the voyages of Christopher Columbus were somewhat after the time to which the VM has been dated (and the Viking exploration of Vinland too long before.)
